Implementation Health Supplements regulations, 2016 from June 30th 2019

In Continuation to FSSAI’s direction dated on December 29, 2017, June 29, 2018, August 24, 2018 and December 31, 2019  Food Safety and Standards Authority allowed FBO’s to continue existing formulations containing ‘Mere combinations of Vitamins and minerals only up to one RDA in dosage formats such as tablets, capsules and syrups for a period of three months till June 30, 2019 or till any further update is drafted by FSSAI.

Also, the list of ingredients which are not allowed to be used in any product must continue to be not allowed except if they are permitted by other Regulations under Food Safety and Standards Regulations. The list of ingredients which are not allowed to be used are mentioned below:
